current format is to include the DAT file revision in parentheses
after the program revision as a 3 digit number that indicates numeric
file revision. For Example:
2.2.0 (211)
Indicates DAT file revision number 212.
In the new format, the DAT file revision will be a 4 digit number,
indicating the year and month of release as in:
2.2.0 (9505)
Would indicate executable revision 2.2.0, and a data file released in
May of 1995.
